Description:Stafford Laundry was founded in 1899 on North Street (now Stone Road).

Each customer had a wicker basket, checked by the worker in the centre. After washing the clothes were put through a mangle and dried in the steam dryers, seen on the left.

The laundry closed in 1986 and the buildings were demolished.
