Description:Showing an Elizabethan half-timbered thatched cottage of L-shaped plan. Inscribed 'This building is to be pulled down this summer, May 1838.''T.P.W.,' [Thomas Peploe Wood].

This small timber-framed farmhouse was replaced by a brick building around 1838. Before the dissolution, this farm belonged to the prior and canons of St. Thomas' Priory, Stafford.
