Description:Bridget Malpass presenting a bouquet to Miss Mary Bagshawe of Uttoxeter, who opened Weston Village Hall.

Also attending the ceremony are Mr Johnson, chairman of Weston Village Hall Committee, the Rev. W.H. Dodd, Vicar of Weston, Mr Eric Marks, secretary of the committee, Mr R. Sindry, and Mrs Jessie Evans who represented the National Council of Social Service.

Weston villagers raised funds to cover the full cost of construction and built the hall with their own labour.
