Description:The Regal cinema is here pictured in its heyday, a year after it opened, decorated and lit up to advertise the film, '42nd Street'. The Regal was part of the ABC chain and closed in 1974. A few years later it became a Kwik Save supermarket but after the company went into administration in 2007 the building lay empty and increasingly derelict until 2018, the building is now (September 2020) being renovated into apartments. Only the facade remains from the original cinema building.
