Description:The Malt Shovel Public Inn can be seen here on the left with Halls Butcher's on the right. In 2003 this site was occupied by the shop Dixons.

The Malt Shovel was a mid 18th century Grade II listed building. The butchers can here be seen with a 19th century shop front. This road was formerly known as Butchers Row.
