Description:William Mercer was the owner of a leather goods shop at 3 Market Street, Lichfield. The shop operated under the name Mercers until the ealy 2000s when it became Golunski Leather, though still owned by the Mercer family. William was a competitive sprint runner and organised the sporting events held on Lichfield Bower Day during the 1910s to 1940s.
