Description:Early motor cars park up outside the North Stafford Hotel in the early part of last century. The statue is of Josiah Wedgwood, the famous potter.
The hotel and railway station opposite was built in the Jacobean style and designed by H.A. Hunt in 1850. The building in the background was to house railway men. The design of these buildings was to emulate that of large country houses.
