Description:Two police vehicles in the yard of the police barracks on Friar's Terrace, Forebridge.
This photograph was taken during the General Strike of 1926.
The officers posing with the vehicles are:P.C. Burton and P.C. Cook.

The complement of vehicles owned by the Constabulary at the time were as follows:
3 Albion lorries, 2 Ford prison vans, 2 Ford trucks, 13 Ford cars ( nine seaters ) 3 Austin cars, one Cadillac, 4 AJ.S. rn/cycle combinations, one Sunbeam rn/cycle combination, 22 Triumph rn/cycle combinations and 2 Triumph solo rn/cycles.
