Description:Through its history the Staffordshire Regiment has been involved in many campaigns and wars and has been stationed in many parts of the world. For centuries the North West Frontier of India was vulnerable to attack from Afghanistan. There was always a British Garrison (including Indian Regiments) there until Independence in 1947. The 2nd North Staffords, who had been in India since 1903, are seen here during the 3rd Afghan War.
