Description:The Cottage Hospital was built in about 1880 by funds provided by Reverend William MacGregor. Originally the building was a single storey with eight beds. The second storey was added by public subscription, and in 1889 the nurses' wing, on the far right of the photograph, was added by Mrs Hutton.
