Description:The school was founded in 1723 by Thomas Parker, the 1st Earl of Macclesfield, and Lord Chancellor who was born in Leek. This school photograph of pupils and masters was taken outside the grammar school decorated to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. In the centre with the beard is Mr J.J. Sykes, the headmaster, and to his right is Mr J. Sykes, a teacher.
In 2002 the former school building was being used as the headquarters of the 2nd Leek Scout Group, as it has done for many years prior to this date.
