Description:Mrs Broster was the wife of William Broster, the owner of Waterloo Mill. Mr Broster employed 63 women and 40 men in 1881. The business was taken over in the second half of the 20th century by Lux Lux Ltd., lingerie, underwear and nightwear manufacturer based in Glossop.
In early 2003 the present owner of the building had just been granted planning permission to convert the mill into flats.
