Description:View looking to the north of Market Place, with Bradley's outfitters and Fowlowe standing out as the two taller buildings on Church Street. On the right is the Red Lion. It was originally Leek Hall, home of the Jolliffe family, and later used for the town's meetings before being turned into a coaching inn. Further up the street, the Cock Inn (at the end of the row) has since been demolished to make way for the building which houses the Tourist Information Centre.
