Date:1910 - 1930 (c.)

Description:The present mill building dates from 1711, built by the Duke of Devonshire to replace an earlier mill. In 1974 a cave shelter was excavated in the area, and flints were found from the Mesolithic period. These finds are currently housed in Buxton Museum.
