Description:Originally known as Argyle Cottage, this house was later renamed Roaches House. It stands to the south-east of Hen Cloud on The Roaches. It was originally part of the Swythamley estate, owned by the Brocklehurst family. Courtney Brocklehurst had the roof removed in 1937 because it leaked so much.
