Date:1912

Description:A Worthington Steam Loco moving a train of wagons carrying grain and casks through the flood waters. On the sidings in the background is the Bass Old Brewery and the Burton Brewery Co. with Midlands Railway wagons on the sidings.

Mr John Hancock has kindly provided us with some more information: "The contents of the first two wagons appears to be spent grains, produced in the brewing process. They would be sold to farmers for cattle feed."
