Description:Dinitaries and townsfolk assembled outside St. Modwen's Parish for an open air service to honour Queen Victoria's 60 years on the throne. Later that day 20,000 people attended a free fete, and at 10pm that evening bonfires were lit around the town. These events were part of a whole week of celebrations which ran from Sunday 20th to Friday 25th June.
