Description:Located on the Nelson Industrial Estate the factory opened in 1954 employing about 200 people. The factory worked on such things as advanced radar equipment, early computers and control panels. After the merger with the General Electric Company (GEC) in 1968, both companies became known as ICL (International Computers Limited). Please contact us if you recognise anyone in the photograph.
