Description:The second cart pictured here is being driven by Mr Joe Paskin, with his sister being the lady wearing the pale skirt standing on the left. Thomas Landers' tobacconist's and confectioner's is the first shop on the right hand side.

At the time of this photograph many hospitals, including the North Staffordshire Infirmary and Eye Hospital at Hartshill, were supported by voluntary contributions and fundraising activities. At this 'Hospital Saturday' procession money would have been collected for the local 'Hospital Fund'.
