Description:This view was taken during the restoration of Victoria Park in Stafford, and shows of some of the early construction work for a new Café which later became known as Albert’s Café.

A £2.5 million project for the restoration of Victoria Park, received funding through the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The work included restoring historical features such as the Bandstand and Mottram Shelter, as well as building a new aviary and a new catering facility. The work was completed in the autumn of 2020.

In the background is the Park’s bowling Grgreen and in the foreground water flows from the adjacent River Sow (which is on the left and just out of shot of the camera); into the former Town Mill pool area on the extreme right.
