Description:The lasting or making room at Lotus Ltd., Sandon Road, Stafford. This department is where the shoe upper is attached to the sole.

Lotus was formerly Edwin Bostock's shoe factory, which was on Foregate Street, Stafford. The factory was destroyed by fire in 1901, but was rebuilt on Sandon Road in 1903. Bostock's became Lotus Ltd. in 1919. The Sandon Road factory was demolished in 1998.
