Description:Spectators line the street to watch a walking race in Eccleshall. This is a rare view of Chebsey Lane, showing what it looked like before it was widened during World War II to become Stone Road. on the left is the entrance to the stable yard of the george Hotel and to the right is the garden wall of Dr. Goss's house. These buildings and the row of gabled cottages on the left were all demolished in order to widen the road.
