Description:Cherry Orchard Ices Ltd. were based in the stable block at Meaford Hall. Previously based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Tunstall, the factory part of the business moved to Meaford in 1949.The company also had premises in Burslem. They used Meaford's pure water supply to manufacture ice lollies, choc ices and other icecream items for wholesale and retail. They also catered for garden fetes and agricultural shows. The factory closed around 1954-55.
