Description:Stafford Round Tablers John Harvest (left) and Geoffrey Bramall are pictured checking over a new Ford Popular which has a sign on the front saying “This is it – Car for a Bob”. A Bob was a slang name for one shilling or 1/-.

The car was part of a fund raising competition organised by Stafford Round Table who were offering this new Ford Popular as a prize in support of their “Cottage for the Blind” fund.
