Description:This aerial postcard view looks south over Stafford. On the left is Stafford prison, in the foreground is Grey Friars and Foregate Street, centre right is the gas works and in the distance St Mary’s and St. Chad’s Churches can be seen.

This postcard is unused. On the reverse it states: “This photograph was taken from an AIRCO machine flying over the town. Taken and published by The Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd., The Hyde, Hendon, NW 9”.
