Description:Mr Shale, porter, and Miss J. Worthington, a member of staff at Stafford Library and Museum sitting in the old town stocks for a press photograph. The stocks formerly stood in the Market Square in Stafford in front of the Town Hall and had been restored for display in Stafford Library and Museum in 1937. The stocks are now part of the Staffordshire County Museum collections.
