Description:Station staff on the platform at Cheadle Railway Station, with the town and the spire of St. Giles' Roman Catholic Church visible in the background.

The Cheadle branch line was opened in 1892, although trains did not reach Cheadle itself until 1st January 1901. The last passenger train ran on 17th June 1963 and public freight movement ceased in 1978. The station has been demolished, although the station master's house survives.
