Description:This postcard view shows the Signal Box at Stafford Common Railway Station which was on the Stafford to Uttoxeter railway line. In the background on the right are chimneys and a part view of an advertising sign for the adjacent salt works.

Stafford Common Railway Station was built in 1867, to serve the Stafford to Uttoxeter line. The station closed to passengers in 1939, but continued to carry freight. It closed completely in the 1970s.
