Description:John and Temperance Morgan’s Confectionery, Refreshment House and Cyclists’ Home at 7, Horse Fair, Rugeley. As well as dining and tea rooms, it advertises Cadbury’s Chocolate and ‘well-appointed beds’.
The upper stories are still recognisable at Red Peppers Restaurant (2021). Prior to opening the business John had been a painter and decorator. The women in the doorway are possibly Temperance and her daughter Edna May (married name Fox).
