Description:HRH The Prince of Wales is here seen travelling down Queen Street to Nelson Place, on a visit to Newcastle. The Prince is about to get out of the car for a civic reception that was held in Nelson Place.

In 1936 the Prince succeeded to the throne and became Edward VIII, following his abdication he was given the title Duke of Windsor.
