Description:Red silk open weave dress trimmed with metallic gold thread. Gold thread dots woven into material. High waisted with wide neck, bodice darted. Short puff sleeves. Red satin band at waist with double rolled edge, same at cuffs. Gold thread around waist, cuffs and neck. Border of gold thread embroidered above hem, thickly padded.

Belonged to family of James Caldwell of Linley Wood, Talke o' the Hill, Staffordshire.
