Description:A confectionary kiosk selling Barker & Dobson sweets at the 1937 Royal Sow, held at Wrottesley Park, operated by Letheby & Christopher Ltd., a Birmingham based catering company founded in 1900 and still operating today (January 2021). The Liverpool company of Barker & Dobson were one of the largest makers of boiled sweets and chocolate in the countryt at this time.
The Royal Show was the country's most prestigious agricultural show and was first held in 1837. This was only the second time it was held in Staffordshire, the first being at Wolverhampton Race Course in 1871. The show was held for the last time in 2009, at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
