Description:Bull's Bank was located behind St. Giles' Church, which can be seen in the centre of this photograph, and off Lower Street. The poor housing and sanitation made this area a hot spot for cholera in the 1830's and 1940's. These houses and many like them were eventually cleared and residents moved into new council houses.

The street is decorated here for the Silver Jubilee of King George V.
