Description:Hospital Saturday in Audley with a procession going down Church Street. At the time many hospitals, including the North Staffordshire Infirmary and Eye Hospital at Hartshill were supported by voluntary contributions and fundraising activities. At this 'Hospital Saturday' procession money would have been collected for the local 'Hospital Fund'. This photograph shows predominantly girls taking part, dressed in their best clothes.

This photograph was taken by the local photographer Thomas Warham, as it approached his studio.
