Oulton Cricket Club were founded in 1953 and their first ground was near Oulton Grange. In about 1970 the club had to leave Oulton Grange and used Alleyne's High School's ground in Stone for a number of years before moving to Yarnfield. In 1988 Mr Spencer Copeland gave the club a field at Oulton Heath to create a new ground, which remains today. In 2017 the club merged with near neighbours Moddershall Cricket Club to form Moddershall & Oulton Cricket Club.
