Description:There has been a hall at Clayton for hundreds of years.
This shows what is thought to be the third hall built on or nearby the original site; whilst the hall is still in private ownership.
It was used as a family home until 1939; when it was taken over as a training base for Fleet Air-Arm Apprentices during World War two.
After the war it became a grammar school for girls and later a comprehensive school.
