Description:Ken and Geoff Platt who lived at 5 High St (later Uttoxeter Rd), Longton, pictured in front of a wartime Anderson Shelter in the back yard of 1,Uttoxeter Road. Behind the shelter is the huge bottle oven belonging to Park Hall Pottery. The factory entrance was in Sutherland Road and they made industrial electrical ceramics. The factory in its final years was a member of the GEC Group.
