Description:A postcard view of the statue of King Edward VII which was erected and presented to the City by Robert Bridgeman to mark his year as Sheriff. It was unveiled by the Rt Hon. Earl of Dartmouth, who was the Lord Lieutenant of the County, on 30th September 1908.

The statue was sculpted by George Lowther of Robert Bridgeman and Sons of Lichfield, from Portland stone and the plinth from Hoptonwood stone. It stands in the formal Museum Gardens of Beacon Park facing towards Lichfield. The statue was restored in 2010 and the Princess Royal rededicated it on 24th April 2013.
