Description:This postcard view of a quiet scene looks north-west along Beacon Street in Lichfield. Many of the cottages on the left remain (July 2020), however, several of the buildings on the extreme right were demolished and replaced by a Hotel which in 2003 was known as the Little Barrow Hotel, later as the Cathedral Lodge Hotel and around 2016 became the Cathedral Hotel.

This postcard was published by Valentine’s. It was franked in Lichfield on 6 February 1909 and sent to an address in Birmingham.
