Description:A four acre cemetery was opened on Eccleshall Road in Stafford in 1856. Over the years it has been extended several times and had reached 20 acres by 1940. The cemetery was designed with two chapels, one of which is seen here. The larger one was for Church of England use, and the other one for general use. The chapels were in use up to the 1960s.

This postcard view was published by W H Smith & Son, Stafford. It was franked in Stafford on 2 November 1911 and sent to an address in Leek.
