Date:1910

Description:A postcard view of Walton Bridge over the River Trent near Stone. Over the years the bridge has been much altered, remnants of the medieval stone pack horse bridge can still be seen. A new bridge known as Walton Bridge was built, on the other side of this bridge in this view, which opened in 1984. The old stone-built bridge has continued in use for pedestrians.

In the centre of this view above the bridge there is an X by a building and on the reverse the sender states “this is Walton Manor Farm, where I am staying”.

This postcard was published by T G Adie & Co., Stone. It was franked in Stone on 10 July 1910 and sent to an address in London.
