Description:This church was constructed between 1826 and 1832. It is a Gothic Church built of sandstone with a slate roof, rectangular in plan with a bell tower. All decorative stonework on the windows, doors, pinnacles etc. is typical of the Gothic revival. The site has ancient religious connections. Three churches are known to have existed on this site.
In the grounds of the church there are reconstructed remains, possibly of a Norman church. These consist of two semi-circular stone arches, supported by 2 octagonal and one circular stone columns with capitals, and pillar bases. Also in close proximity are the remains of an ancient altar, a cross and two pillars.
