Description:A group of Gypsy women and children pictured at a camp, probably near Stramshall, Uttoxeter. On the left are two different types of van: nearest to the photographer is fine example of a Reading van and beyond is a Bow-top.

Photograph by the Rev. C.F.L. Barnwell (1853-1933) who was Vicar of Stramshall from 1879 to 1933, and who was a keen amateur historian and photographer.
