Description:Arthur Percy Pickstock, auctioneer, valuer and estate agent. He was born 26 March 1887 at the family home of Valley Farm, Dunston, near Stafford. By 1909 he was working as an accountant at 19, Greengate Street but later that year had opened an office in Bank Passage and by 1910 was specialising as an auctioneer. After the war he married and moved from the family home in Dunston to 121, Newport Road. By 1939 he was working as the county representative for the Olympia Oil & Cake Co. Ltd., an animal feed manufacturer and supplier. He died aged 87 in 1974.
