Date:1905

Description:A postcard view of Church Eaton schools. These school buildings were built in the late 19th century and opened in 1900 as a combined school for boys, girls and infants. Construction of the main building on the left began in 1897 and was divided into three classes and had two porches: one for boys, and one for girls and infants. It is still Church Eaton Primary School and both buildings still stand, although the one on the right was extensively remodelled in the early 2000s.

On the reverse there is a message from Lizzie (last name unknown): “Many Happy Returns on your Birthday. This is our Schools”. This postcard was franked at Stafford Station on 18 May 1905 and later at Stoney Stanton. It was sent to an address in Stoney Stanton.
