Description:A postcard view of the High Street in Church Eaton. On the left are two school buildings which were built in the late 19th century and opened in 1900 as a combined school for boys, girls and infants. Construction of the main building on the left began in 1897 and was divided into three classes and had two porches: one for boys, and one for girls and infants. It is still Church Eaton Primary School and both buildings still stand, although the one on the right was extensively remodelled in the early 2000s.

In the centre distance is St. Editha's Church, built from local sandstone. The earliest part of the church is the tower, which dates from the twelfth century. The timber framed building on the right of the Church is Church Cottage, also known as Institute Farmhouse. The cottage fell into disrepair and was demolished in the 1980s. It was rebuilt in 1983 using new materials, further back from the road.

Photographer: Harry Osbourne of Woodseaves. This postcard was franked in Stafford on 29 June 1908 and sent to an address in Brondesbury, London.
