Description:A postcard view of the War Memorial in Uttoxeter, which was carved by Robert Bridgman & Sons of Lichfield. It was unveiled on 11 November 1928 by Colonel Ratcliffe, a leading commander of the North Staffordshire Regiment during the First World War.

On the left is the Lion Hotel, on the right of the Memorial is St. Mary’s Church, and the shops of H.Woolley & Son and Pratt's along with the White Horse Inn are visible on right.

This postcard was franked in Uttoxeter on 24 September 1938 and sent to an address in Cobham, Surrey.
