Description:The Heap family with Women's Land Army girls at the Walled Garden, Shugborough. The Head Gardener's house is in the background. James A. Heap, tenant at the Walled Garden between 1939 and 1947, is standing third from left. His sons John (second from left) and James (4th from left) stand either side of him. His daughter Jean Lett (née Heap) is front left, with her mother Mrs Heap next to her, second from left. Back row, far right, is the foreman, Ed Steele with his wife Ellen is in front of him at the end of the front row.
