Description:A colour lithograph print of the Black Eagle Brewery owned by Messrs. Truman, Hanbury, Buxton & Co. The brewery was situated just off Station Bridge, bordering Derby Street. This print was produced and printed by Sir Joseph Causton & Sons, Southwark Street, London.

A brewery was established here by Phillips Bros. of Northampton between 1860 and 1865. It was bought by Truman, Hanbury, Buxton & Co. Ltd in 1873 and rebuilt. The brewery closed in 1971 and was demolished in 1972-1973. The site has been redeveloped for housing and commercial uses.
