Description:Julien Mamet getting ready for a flight in his Bleriot monoplane.

The Burton Aviation week was staged at Bass's Meadow in Meadow Road, Burton, between September 26th and October 1st 1910. The Burton on Trent Aviation Committee, initially had problems securing pilots for the meeting, when none of the aviators originally suggested were able to attend. They eventually booked a group of all French fliers who had previously been attending a meeting in Doncaster.

Amongst the aviators taking part were Mademoiselle Helene Dutrieu, flying a Farman Biplane; Bruneau De Laborie, Farman Biplane; Paul De Lesseps, Bleriot monoplane; Marcel Hanriot, Hanriot Monoplane; Julien Mamet, Bleriot Monoplane; Emile Ladougne, Goupy Biplane; Edouard Beaud, Farman Biplane.
